Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, Candlestick Point, is a 170 acre gem at the southeastern tip of San Francisco. The park is one of San Francisco’s most serene locations. It nearly became a shipyard but the end of WWII saved it as a peaceful place facing San Francisco Bay.
