Peter Lindman: Grant Street Troubadour

Lindemann3

San Francisco is a city of treasures. On every hill and in every valley gold is there to be discovered. Since the Gold Rush, San Francisco has fired the world’s imagination with its hilltop views, its people, its food and its lust for life. On North Beach’s musical Grant Street, the city’s oldest thoroughfare, sits San Francisco’s oldest bar, the Saloon (1861). At the Saloon, the only delight not on the menu is food.

Every Monday afternoon at the Saloon (4-8) singer songwriter Peter Lindman shares the treasures in his large catalog of original and cover songs. Lindman always propels the spirit and reminds you that it just might be better to feel alive, than to understand life. Lindman’s passionate voice and guitar continue the ancient traditions of the musicians and singers, drawing us close, to hear about our lives, human to human,  unseparated by a technological veil.

Peter’s journey of Struggle Study Sweat (a Lindman original song Peter Lindman Bandcamp Struggle Study Sweat ) has carried him from an East Coast career as a carpenter, an IT man, now a project manager and featured artist on the the Saloon’s well-worn stage. Every Monday, the mystic dreamer, who attended Woodstock at age 15, speaks to us about life and makes us feel alive. Now as then, Peter strives to lose himself in the joy of the music. Frequently, Lindman enjoys the sublime guitar of sideman Jose Simioni.  If you’re coming to San Francisco in search of treasure, know that Peter Lindman is gold we can all share.
